Why We Also Chose Italian Products for DiMA

If you’ve browsed around DiMA, you’ve probably seen some Italian products mixed in with the UK ones—and you might be wondering why.

The short answer? We grew up in Italy.

Yes, we’re Filipinos living in the UK now, but before that, Italy was home. It’s where we spent our younger years, and honestly, it left a big mark on us—not just the culture, but also the everyday things we grew up with.

The Kind of Stuff You Don’t Forget

In Italy, we were surrounded by high-quality products. And not just luxury brands—everyday things like vitamins, skincare, baby powder, even toothpaste. These were the things our families trusted, and the ones we always packed into balikbayan boxes for loved ones back home.

Felce Azzurra was one of those products.
It wasn’t just something nice to have—it was the classic gift for every new baby in the family. Our parents always sent it to the Philippines. That soft scent? It's pure nostalgia. It reminds us of home, of care, and of giving something special.

And then there’s Marvis.
If you’ve tried it, you know. This wasn’t just toothpaste—it was our toothpaste growing up. We used it every day. It made brushing your teeth feel kind of fancy in the best way. It was minty, bold, and came in a tube that looked way cooler than your usual grocery brand.

We Bring What We Know

That’s why these brands are part of DiMA. We didn’t add them just to have more choice, we added them because they’re part of our own lives.

  • Felce Azzurra isn’t just baby powder or bath soap, it’s something our family always gave to newborns when going back to the Philippines. It was part of our tradition.

  • Marvis isn’t just toothpaste, it’s the one we used every day when we were teenagers. It made brushing your teeth feel a little fancy.

From Us, With Love

Everything you see at DiMA has a story. If we don’t use it ourselves or feel good recommending it to family, we don’t put it in the shop. It’s that simple.

So when you spot something Italian on the site, now you know, it’s not random. It’s part of our story, and we’re happy to share it with you.

Thanks for being here and for supporting something built from personal experience, a few balikbayan boxes, and a whole lot of heart.
